I AM A SOUTH SIDE RESIDENT OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, WHO DEVELOPED AN INTEREST IN PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE AGE OF 5. I CREDIT MY PARENTS FOR PLANTING THE SEED IN ME BY PURCHASING MY FIRST CAMERA AND THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT OVER THE YEARS.

I PHOTOGRAPH SPORTS, GLAMOUR,LANDSCAPES, MUSIC, THEATER, AND STREET LIFE.

I AM ENAMORED WITH THE ‘LATE GREATS’: GORDON PARKS AND JAMES VAN DER ZEE.

STARTING AS A SELF-TAUGHT PHOTOGRAPHER, I LATER TRAINED WITH THE NEW YORK INSTITUTE OF PHOTOGRAPHY.

I’VE BEEN PUBLISHED WITH TYLER PERRY’S PRODUCTION: WHY DID I GET MARRIED? TODAY’S PHOTOGRAPHER MAGAZINE, THE INTERNATIONAL LIBRARY OF PHOTOGRAPHY.

I AM A 3-TIME WINNER OF THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY’S BLACK CREATIVITY, 2001-2002 AND 2004.

IN ADDITION, I HAVE EXHIBITED WITH THE ARC GALLERY WITH MY FIRST ONE-WOMAN EXHIBITION, 2011.
